Which Esprit size is the most useful?
The 41 cl bowl is the all-rounder. It is generous enough for light red wine and not so large that white wine warms up in it, so a single size lets you pour most bottles neatly at the table.
Are Royal Leerdam Esprit glasses dishwasher safe?
Yes, the range is made for machine washing. Place the glasses upright in a glass rack rather than at an angle between the plates, because that is where most stem breakage happens.
How do I dry a stemmed glass safely?
Wrap the tea towel around the bowl and polish without twisting the glass. Wringing puts force on the join between bowl and stem, and that is exactly where a stemmed glass breaks.
At what temperature do you serve wine in these glasses?
White wine and rosé at around eight degrees, red wine at around sixteen degrees. For red that is cooler than room temperature, which in practice means putting the bottle in the fridge briefly before serving.
