Why are these glasses sold in pairs?
Duo was designed as a gift range. Every model comes two to a gift box, which makes it easy to give away and is enough for a table for two. If you want more, you simply order several sets.
Which glass should I choose for full-bodied red wine?
The 72.9 cl Bordeaux glass. The large bowl gives tannic wines such as cabernet sauvignon and syrah room to open up. Fill it about a third of the way, so you keep enough air above the wine to swirl it.
What is an effervescence point and where is it?
An effervescence point is a small etched spot in the base of the glass. Carbon dioxide bubbles cling to it, so they rise in a neat stream. In this range it is found in the 54.8 cl wine glass and in the white wine glass.
Is Zwiesel Glas the same brand as Schott Zwiesel?
No. They are two separate brands from the same Bavarian glassmaking region. Zwiesel Glas makes ranges for home use and wine enjoyment, while Schott Zwiesel mainly makes glasses for hospitality and bar use. Duo belongs to Zwiesel Glas.
