Pasabahce Timeless

The series runs to dozens of shapes, so let what you are pouring decide. For wine there are goblets of 32 and 33 cl, the latter also with a gold rim. For sparkling wine a flute of 17.5 cl and a coupe of 16 cl. For soft drinks and long drinks, tumblers of 21, 34.5 and 35.5 cl and long drink glasses of 30 and 45 cl, the tallest of which also stacks. On top of that come shot glasses of 6.2 cl, liqueur glasses of 11.6 cl, tea glasses of 25 and 31 cl, amuse glasses of 23.6 cl, an ice cream coupe of 27.5 cl and a water jug of 1.4 litres.

The relief pattern catches the light, so these glasses show at their best with clear, brightly coloured drinks. In the 45 cl long drink glass the light refracts through the tonic, which is why the tall shapes are so often used as a gin and tonic glass.

Do not fill a 33 cl wine goblet past its widest point, so you can still swirl. Pour the 17.5 cl flute in two goes: a base first, let it settle, then top up, otherwise it foams over. The 25 cl tea glass has no handle, so hold it by the upper rim.

Timeless is made from tempered soda-lime glass and is dishwasher safe. The relief pattern sits in the glass itself and cannot wear off, but the versions with a gold rim are the exception: wash those by hand, because gold turns dull in the machine over time.

Place the glasses apart in the rack, because a relief surface catches on a neighbouring glass more easily than smooth glass does. Limescale also shows up more in the grooves, so polish them while they are still slightly warm.
