What exactly is SON.hyx glass?
SON.hyx is the lead-free crystal glass from Luigi Bormioli. It is heat-treated, which hardens the rim and the stem. As a result the glass stays clear after hundreds of dishwasher cycles and the stem is less likely to snap off.
Why is a pulled stem better?
With a pulled stem, bowl and stem are formed from a single piece of glass. There is no joint where the glass can break. On glued stems, that joint is precisely the weakest point of the wine glass.
What do I use the 0.25 litre carafe for?
It is an Italian table carafe for house wine or water, meant to stand on the table per person or per two. They come in twelves, which fits restaurant use and large tables.
Which bowl do I choose for pinot noir?
The 80 cl. It has a wide base, so the wine lies over a large surface and gives off more aroma — exactly what light, aromatic grapes such as pinot noir and nebbiolo need.
