Is this the same as the Duralex Versailles tea glass?
No. Duralex and La Rochère are two different French manufacturers that both run a Versailles series. The Duralex tea glass is tempered glass and stackable; this series is plain pressed glass with a continuous ribbed relief.
Which wine glass should I choose for red wine?
The 40 cl. That bowl is round enough to give a normal pour of about 15 cl some room, so the wine makes contact with air. The 20 cl glass is too small and too upright for a full-bodied red.
Can the tea glass handle boiling water?
The wall is thick enough for hot tea, but do not pour boiling water into a cold glass. Warm the glass first with a little warm water and throw that away. That avoids the thermal shock that causes stress cracks.
What is the 27 cl bowl for?
For desserts, yoghurt, ice cream or a starter. It belongs to the series so your table carries the same pattern throughout, but it is not a drinking glass. At 27 cl it is a generous single portion.
