The Ellipse glass is Heineken's modern branded glass: a slender bowl on a stem with a subtly oval profile. In the 25 cl size, it is the glass for a small beer, served as the brewery intended.
A beer glass with a stem
Serving the beer on a stem keeps your hand away from the bowl, helping it stay cold for longer. The elliptical shape also creates a compact head of foam that does not collapse immediately. At 25 cl, it is the standard Dutch size, exactly what is served over the bar in a hospitality venue. The glass is dishwasher-safe and designed for regular use. The stem also makes the glass easier to clear away: you hold it by the stem rather than gripping the bowl with a wet hand. The same principle works at home when you are carrying a tray between the garden and the kitchen.

We also place clear warning stickers on the shipping box so the delivery service knows that the box contains fragile glasses and handles it with care.
If a glass still arrives damaged, report it in your account within three business days with a photo. You will receive a replacement glass or store credit, and you do not need to return the broken glass.

Heineken
Heineken begon op 15 februari 1864, toen Gerard Adriaan Heineken in Amsterdam de brouwerij De Hooiberg overnam. Het bedrijf legde zich toe op pils van lage gisting en ontwikkelde daarvoor een eigen gist, die het bier vanaf 1886 zijn herkenbare karakter gaf. Uit die Amsterdamse brouwerij groeide een merk dat vandaag in vrijwel elk land op de kaart staat.
Het merkglas van vandaag heet Ellipse: een slanke kelk op voet met een licht ovale lijn, in de maat voor een vaasje en in een halve liter. Door de voet blijft je hand van de kelk af en dus van het koude bier, en de ovale wand houdt de schuimkraag langer heel dan een rechte cilinder. Wie wil vergelijken, vindt het model terug tussen de andere bierglazen.
