Jack Daniel's Gentleman Jack
The Jack to drink neat. After aging, Gentleman Jack passes through maple charcoal once more, making it silky smooth, with vanilla, caramel, and a touch of spice.

One extra filtration, and you can taste it
Every drop of Jack Daniel's is slowly filtered through a three-meter layer of maple charcoal before aging, a process that takes about ten days. With Old No. 7, the whiskey goes straight into the bottle after aging in oak barrels. Gentleman Jack gets a second charcoal filtration after aging. According to the brand, it is the only whiskey in the world to be filtered through charcoal twice.
That second round removes the rough edges. What remains is a whiskey with a silky-smooth texture and sweet notes of vanilla, caramel, and light spices, with less smoke than regular Jack. It has the same 40% ABV as Old No. 7, but is made to be sipped slowly rather than mixed with cola.

How to taste Gentleman Jack
Gentleman Jack is smooth enough to drink neat. Start neat, then see what a drop of water or an ice cube does.
Neat in a tasting glass
Pour 3 to 4 cl at room temperature into a tulip-shaped glass and let it sit for a moment. Smell it first, then take small sips: the vanilla comes through best when you don't rush it.
Tasting glasses →With one large ice cube
40 ml over a large ice cube in a heavy tumbler. The ice melts slowly, chilling the whiskey without diluting it too quickly. This makes it even rounder.
Tumblers →Highball with sparkling water
40 ml Gentleman Jack in a tall glass filled with ice, topped up with 120 ml cold sparkling water and an orange zest. Light, dry and a lovely way to taste its smoothness.
