Miraval
Miraval is the wine estate in the Provence that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie bought. The wine is made together with the Perrin family, a renowned wine family from the Rhône. At Gall & Gall, you can find Studio by Miraval: a light, fresh rosé and a white wine.
Miraval and the regions behind it
Miraval is located in Provence and is made by a family from the Rhône. We have a dedicated page about these two regions and about rosé.

Provence
The region between the Rhône and the Côte d'Azur, known for its light, dry rosé.

Rhône
The wine region along the Rhône River, from Côtes du Rhône to Châteauneuf-du-Pape.
About the Rhône →A castle in Provence with a musical past
Château Miraval is located near the village of Correns, inland in Provence. The estate has a long and remarkable history. In 1977, French jazz pianist Jacques Loussier built a recording studio there. Pink Floyd recorded part of The Wall there, and later Sting and Wham!, among others, worked there. Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie rented the estate from 2008 and bought it in 2011. They got married there in 2014.
For the wine, they partnered with the Perrin family, whose Château de Beaucastel in the southern Rhône is a renowned estate in Châteauneuf-du-Pape. The first Miraval rosé came onto the market in 2013 and quickly sold out. Studio by Miraval followed in 2019: a lighter and more accessible rosé. The name refers to the castle's recording studio. The rosé label bears IGP Méditerranée, a broader designation of origin for southeastern France. A white Studio by Miraval was added later.
In brief
Three bottles of Studio by Miraval
Gall & Gall sells only the Studio by Miraval range: the rosé in a regular bottle and a magnum, and the white Blanc. Gall & Gall does not stock any other wines from the estate.

Studio by Miraval Rosé
Light, pale rosé in the Provençal style, soft and fruity. The name refers to the recording studio that a previous owner had built in the château.

Studio by Miraval Magnum
The same rosé in a one-and-a-half-liter bottle, equivalent to two standard bottles. A beautiful bottle to place on the table for a summer dinner.

Studio by Miraval Blanc
The white version, made by the Perrin family just like the rosé. Soft and fruity, a white wine to drink chilled and young.
Read about how rosé is made and why rosé from the south of France is so light in color on our rosé page.
Light, fresh, and fruity
Red fruit and citrus
Pale pink, with strawberry, raspberry, and a touch of citrus. Light and fresh, as you would expect from a rosé from the south of France.
Soft and fruity
The white is soft in flavor, with white fruit and citrus. Light enough for an aperitif, with enough fruit to accompany a meal.
Why choose a large bottle?
A magnum serves about twelve glasses and stays cooler on the table for longer. At a party, one large bottle is also simply an impressive sight.
Tasting profile of the Studio by Miraval rosé. The Blanc is similar, with a little more citrus.
How to serve Miraval
Well chilled, in a wine glass with a smaller bowl, and preferably outdoors.
At 8 to 10 degrees
Rosé and white wine are best served chilled. Put the bottle in the refrigerator for a few hours and take it out just before serving. A wine cooler or an ice bucket keeps it at the right temperature on the table.
More about wine temperature →Drink young
Studio by Miraval is made to be enjoyed young, within a year or two of the harvest. That is when the fruit is at its freshest. Once opened, a bottle will keep for a few days in the refrigerator with a stopper.
To the bottles →Chilling a magnum
A magnum needs more time to chill. Put it in the refrigerator overnight, or place it in a bucket with ice and water for half an hour.
Miraval at the table
Light rosé and crisp white wine pair well with Mediterranean cuisine: fish, vegetables, olive oil, and herbs.
Aperitif and tapas
Olives, tapenade, grilled vegetables, and a piece of bread with aioli.
Fish and salad
Grilled fish, prawns, a Niçoise salad, or a bouillabaisse.
Shellfish
Mussels, oysters, prawns, and a piece of goat cheese.
Summer dinner
Barbecued lamb skewers, herb chicken, or a large salad for a group.
