Puschkin Black Sun
Puschkin's darkest bottle: blackcurrant on a Puschkin vodka base, at 16.6%. Deep purple in the glass and at its best as an ice-cold shot, but also a great substitute for cassis in a glass of bubbles.

Blackcurrant, served ice-cold
Puschkin Black Sun combines blackcurrant with Puschkin vodka. The vodka comes from Berlin, is distilled three times and finished with filtration over ice, a step the brand traces back to an old Russian tradition. The berry gives the drink its almost black color and its full, sweet flavor.
At 16.6%, Black Sun is the lightest of the Puschkin flavors. So it is not a vodka to drink neat at room temperature, and the brand says so itself: it is at its best ice-cold as a shot. If you prefer to sip it for longer, use it as you would crème de cassis, with bubbles, ginger beer or sparkling water.
In short
Dark fruit, sweet and full
Cassis and berry jam
Ripe blackcurrant, almost like a jar of berry jam, with a fresh green edge reminiscent of the shrub's leaves.
Sweet and juicy
Full and sweet, with the slight tang of blackcurrant. Straight from the freezer, it becomes thick and velvety.
Berry-rich and warm
The berry lingers, with a gentle warmth from the vodka. Less bitter than Puschkin Red, rounder and darker.
Flavor profile of Puschkin Black Sun ice-cold as a shot. With bubbles or ginger beer, it becomes drier and fresher.
Three ways to serve Black Sun
Keep the bottle in the freezer. The colder it is, the thicker and smoother the shot, and the less the sweetness dominates.
Freezer shot
Pour 2 cl Black Sun into a shot glass that has also been chilled in the freezer. Thick, dark and meant to be downed in one go.
Shot glasses →Black Sun Royal
Pour 15 ml Black Sun into a chilled coupe and top with 100 ml dry prosecco or champagne. It works like a Kir Royal, but with a vodka heart and a slightly sweeter taste.
Go to the Kir Royal →With ginger beer
Add 30 ml Puschkin Vodka and 20 ml Black Sun to 120 ml ginger beer and a splash of lime juice in a copper mug filled with ice. A dark, berry-forward mule.
Go to the Moscow Mule →Cocktails with Puschkin Black Sun
Blackcurrant is a classic cocktail flavor. Black Sun replaces cassis or a dark berry syrup and adds a touch of vodka right away.

Kir Royal
Cassis with champagne. Using Black Sun instead of cassis gives you a lighter, slightly sweeter version.
Moscow Mule
Vodka, ginger beer and lime. A splash of Black Sun turns it into a dark purple berry mule.
Purple Rain
The purple party cocktail. Black Sun gives it extra colour and a berry undertone.
Halloween cocktails
Dark and spooky drinks. A Black Sun shot fits right in.More Puschkin flavours
