Mozart
Mozart is an Austrian chocolate liqueur from Salzburg, the composer's birthplace. The liqueurs are made with real chocolate or cocoa, vanilla and a distillate, and come in milk, dark and white, plus a few seasonal flavors. Delicious chilled, over ice or in coffee.
Chocolate in a bottle, from Mozart's city
Mozart is a chocolate liqueur brand from Salzburg, Austria. The name refers to Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, who was born in that city and is still present everywhere, from statues to the famous chocolate bonbons. The liqueur fits into that tradition: it is primarily a dessert drink, made to be enjoyed after a meal or with coffee.
A chocolate liqueur is a sweet liqueur based on chocolate or cocoa, alcohol and sugar. Cream variants also contain cream or milk, making the liqueur thick and creamy. Mozart uses chocolate and cocoa with vanilla and a fine distillate, and keeps the alcohol content low: 15 to 17%. The original is Mozart Gold, a creamy liqueur made with cocoa, vanilla and milk. There is also a dark chocolate version, a white one based on white chocolate and cream, and flavors with coffee, coconut, strawberry and pumpkin spice.
In brief
Seven flavors, from milk to dark
Gold is the original, with cocoa and milk. Dark is pure and less sweet, White is creamy and smooth. The other flavors build on these.

Mozart Gold
The original. A creamy mélange of cocoa, vanilla, sugar, milk and fruit distillates. Also available as Chocolate Cream in gift packaging with a glass.

Mozart Dark Chocolate
Made with dark chocolate, dark-roasted cocoa, bourbon vanilla and a fine distillate. Less sweet and more intense in flavor than Gold.

Mozart White Chocolate Cream
White chocolate, soft cream, bourbon vanilla and a cocoa distillate. Best served ice-cold.

Mozart Chocolate Coffee
Bittersweet chocolate with notes of intensely roasted Arabica beans. The logical choice for a coffee cocktail.

Mozart Coconut
Coconut chocolate with a light, nutty flavor and an exotic aroma. This variant is lactose-free.

Mozart Strawberry
White chocolate with the fruity flavor of strawberries. A sweet digestif after an elaborate dinner.

Mozart Pumpkin Spice
Milk chocolate and caramel with pumpkin juice, cinnamon, cloves, and a hint of vanilla. An autumn bottle.

Mozart Chocolate Cream gift
The classic Mozart Chocolate Cream, temporarily available in gift packaging with a glass included.

Creamy, sweet, and full of cacao
Cacao & vanilla
You immediately smell chocolate, with vanilla behind it. Dark smells of roasted cacao, while White smells of cream and vanilla. The flavored varieties bring coffee, coconut, strawberry, or cinnamon to the fore.
Thick and smooth
The creams are thick and velvety, with little alcohol on the palate. Gold is sweet and milky, while Dark is fuller and somewhat more bitter.
Chocolate that lingers
The finish is sweet and long, like a piece of chocolate slowly melting. Dark and Coffee leave a slight bitterness behind.
Flavor profile of Mozart Gold. Dark and Chocolate Coffee score higher on bitterness and lower on sweetness, while White and Strawberry score higher on creaminess.
Three ways to drink Mozart
Chilled is better than at room temperature. Keep the bottle in the refrigerator, and preferably store an opened bottle of cream liqueur in a cool place.
Chilled and neat
Pour 4 cl of chilled Mozart into a liqueur glass and drink it after dinner, with coffee, or instead of dessert. White and Strawberry are especially best when served really cold.
More about liqueur →Over ice
Add a few large ice cubes to a tumbler and pour 5 cl of Mozart over them. The ice makes the liqueur slightly less sweet and heavy. Delicious with Dark or Coconut.
White Russian →In coffee or milk
A splash of Mozart Gold or Chocolate Coffee in a cup of coffee or a glass of warm milk, topped with whipped cream. Pumpkin Spice also works well in it.
Irish Coffee →Cocktails with chocolate liqueur
Mozart easily replaces the crème de cacao or coffee liqueur in a classic. The result is creamier and somewhat sweeter, so use a little less sugar or syrup.

Espresso Martini
Vodka, espresso, and coffee liqueur. Chocolate Coffee makes it more chocolatey.
Brandy Alexander
Cognac, crème de cacao, and cream. Mozart Dark is a good substitute.
White Russian
Vodka, coffee liqueur, and cream over ice. A splash of Mozart Gold turns it into dessert.
Mudslide
Vodka, coffee liqueur and a cream liqueur. Try Mozart instead of the cream.Everything else you wanted to know about Mozart
