Ketel One Vodka
The wheat vodka from the Nolet genever family in Schiedam. Fresh citrus, silky smooth and with a lively tingle: straight over ice, in a Martini, a Bloody Mary or a Dutch Mule.

Ketel 1 or Ketel One: genever or vodka?
It is a common source of confusion. Ketel 1, with the numeral, is the 35% young genever found in virtually every Dutch bar. Ketel One, written out in full, is the 40% wheat vodka created by the same Nolet family from Schiedam in 1983, which became especially popular in America. Both names refer to the distillery's oldest copper still. If you're looking for the genever, you can read all about it on the Ketel 1 page.
Ketel One Vodka is made at Nolet Distillery by combining two techniques: distillation in copper pot stills, the traditional stills, and modern distillation. It is a wheat vodka: its base is a grain distillate made from wheat, together with aged grain eau de vie. This gives the vodka fresh citrus aromas and a silky-smooth texture with a crisp, lively tingle.
In brief
Fresh citrus and a crisp tingle
Fresh citrus
A clean, fresh nose with citrus aromas. No harsh alcohol smell, but a lively freshness.
Silky smooth and lively
Silky smooth in texture, with a crisp, lively tingle on the tongue. Dry and clear.
Citrus to the finish
The citrus carries through to the finish, which remains clean and fresh. This makes it highly suitable for dry cocktails.
Ketel One Vodka's flavor profile served ice-cold. Ketel 1 young genever is grainier and has a hint of juniper.
