Bols Blue is a blue curaçao: an orange liqueur colored blue. It gives every cocktail or mixer a sparkling blue color, a strong orange flavor and a distinctive aftertaste. At 21% alcohol, it is sweeter and milder than the colorless Bols Triple Sec, which is 38%.
You rarely drink Bols Blue neat. It is a mixer liqueur made to add color and citrus to a drink. Think of the Blue Lagoon, Blue Hawaii and Swimming Pool, but also a simple Blue Spritz with bubbles and soda for the terrace.
